ORCONOMY pays a visit to universities in Karlsruhe and Duisburg
Karlsruhe University (commonly known as HsKA) is one of the largest universities for Applied Sciences in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and offers a wide range of degree courses in the fields of Technology and Engineering, IT, Economics and Media Sciences. The HsKA bases its teaching on theory yet is also application and practice-oriented.
So what could be better than a practice-based lecture held by Dr. Ingmar Steinzen, CEO at ORCONOMY GmbH and an expert in the field of optimization technology? Dr. Steinzen gave a lecture on “Supply Chain Network Design under Uncertainty in the Automotive Industry” to approx. 30 students during a seminar on 4th December 2018. The students learnt how a Supply Chain Design Problem is modelled and which problems and uncertainties can occur in practice. Based on project examples, Dr. Steinzen explained how ORCONOMY GmbH successfully deploys Prescriptive Analytics in its projects.
Dr. Steinzen held the same lecture in the Mercator School of Management at Duisburg-Essen University on 11th December.
